Harry R. Greenawalt, Jr., 74, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 at home. He was the husband of Pauline N. (Sherk) Greenawalt.

Born in Lebanon, PA on December 15, 1948, Harry was a son of the late Harry Sr. and Minnie (Capretti) Greenawalt. He was a United States Marine Corp veteran. He worked for Bethlehem Steel, Keystone Weaving Mill, and the U.S. Postal Service in Harrisburg, PA. Harry was a lifetime member of the Lebanon VFW, the Lebanon Legion, and also a member of the Rescue Social Club. He enjoyed going to the beach and fishing.

In addition to his wife, Harry is survived by two children, Harry R. Greenawalt III and Michael Greenawalt; two stepchildren, Nanette Wright and Benny Coleman Jr.; ten grandchildren: Tyler, Abigail, Brandy, Angela, Samantha, Benny III, Emily, Azariah, Derek, and Trevor; many great grandchildren; a sister, Eva Jane Bering; and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 10-11 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 28, 2023 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S 9th St, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment with full military honors will be held at 12:30 PM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry's name may be made to the Lebanon VA Hospice Unit, 1700 S Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
