Gertrude Ann Nye, 83, of Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at home. Born in Lebanon on March 1, 1941, Gertrude was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Lance) Uffner.

She was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and a member of the Church of St. Cecilia. Gertrude enjoyed curling up with a good book. More than anything, she treasured time spent with her family who are left with countless stories of the years they spent together creating memories of camping trips to Knoebels, playing parcheesi, sharing a meal at Heisey's, and family picnics and get togethers.

Gertrude is survived by six children - Christine Ann Gingrich, Maryjo Snyder, Richard E. Ratcliffe, Jr. and his wife, Wanda, Leonard G. Nye, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie, Michelle Suarez, and Sharon Smith and her husband Kerry; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; her sister, Joan Hicks and her husband, Ed; and a brother Frank Uffner and his wife, Becky. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan M. Ratcliffe and eight siblings - Jim, Joe, Gene, Bernie, Peg, Carl, Tom, and Dan.

A visitation will take place on Thursday, May 2nd from 10-11am at St. Cecilia's Church, 120 E Lehman Street, Lebanon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery. Although the family appreciates the gesture of flowers, it was Gertrude's wish that, in lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to St. Cecilia's Church at the address listed above.
