Genevieve (Jan) O'Dell unexpectedly completed her earthly life's journey on June 20, 2023 at her residence.

She was born Easter Sunday morning April 21, 1935 on a farm near Ebenezer in N. Lebanon Twp. to the late Perry L. Meyer and Ethel M. (Wells) Meyer.

She was employed in the office of the Good Samaritan Hospital, the library of Penn State Medical Center and for 15 years she owned Jan's Grooming Shop in Lebanon, Pa.  She then worked for Century21 Krall Real Estate as a Realtor until retiring.  Her volunteer work was at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Cedar Haven, Lebanon Co. Historical Society and various churches.  She served as organist and pianist at several churches in the area and played for many weddings and funerals.  She was a member of Zion Goshert's Church and also attended and volunteered at the church of her childhood The Lebanon Gospel Center.  She enjoyed music, reading, sewing, quilting, embroidery, crocheting, knitting, macrame and photography.

She is survived by three sons, two great grandchildren and a brother Edward Meyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl M. O'Dell, her sister Renee Meyer and a son and grandson.

At her request there will be no services.  Casket internment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.

TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD!!  HALLELUJAH!!  AMEN!!!
