Francis C. Sahonic, 80, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 at home. He was the husband of Carol L. (Geesey) Sahonic.

Born in Lebanon, PA on September 16, 1943, Francis was a son of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Newmaster) Szuchanek. He was a United States Navy veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, camping, and going upstate.

In addition to his wife, Francis is survived by three children, Vicki Lynn Labant, Kelly Ann Miller, and Linda Sue Kreiser; six grandchildren: Jolene, Joseph, Joshua, Jessica, Ryan, and Steven; 11 great grandchildren: Amerie, Kylie, Joel, Dilliah, Carter, Olivia, Jayden, Aurora, Jemma, Eden, and Silas; and three sisters, Judy Hoke, Brenda Szuchanek, and Suzanne Ruppel.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Craig; a great grandson, Kaegan; two brothers, Leon Ruhl and Joseph Sahonic; and two sisters, Patricia Gristick and Joanne Shutter.

Graveside service with full military honors will be held at  3:00 pm on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Francis' name may be made to Wellspan Hospice, 252 S. 4th St., Lebanon, PA 17042.
