Eugene R. Arnold, 94, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026 at home. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Hollinger) Arnold. Born in Lebanon, PA on March 28,1932, Eugene was a son of the late Eugene and Catherine (Levengood) Arnold.

He enjoyed camping, playing and teaching the accordion, and was an avid Notre Dame fan. Eugene graduated from Lebanon Catholic High School in 1950 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was employed at the Reading Eagle Newspaper as a Librarian. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Lebanon Navy Club Ship 91.

Eugene is survived by five children: Kathleen M. Herb, wife of Jeffrey L., Gregory A. Arnold, husband of Amy J., Christopher P. Arnold, husband of Kim L., David V. Arnold, husband of Anne M., and Daniel E. Arnold, husband of Debra L.; nine grandchildren: Sarah, Jennifer, Joseph, Laura, Amanda, Christina, Erika, Brendan, and Jonathan; two great grandchildren, Willow and Ryan and one on the way; two brothers, Thomas E. Arnold and Robert J. Arnold; two sisters, Marian L. Engle and Judy M. Seibert; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at St. Mary's Church, 2 N 8th St, Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to Mass from 9:30- 11:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eugene's name may be made to St. Mary's Church at the above address.
