Obituary

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eric Pabon, who entered into eternal life on July 7, 2026, at the age of 50. Born on July 5, 1976, in Brooklyn, New York, Eric lived a life that will be remembered for its laughter, kindness, and the love he so freely gave to everyone around him.

Eric was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Eric Pabon and Carmen Rosa Hernandez. Though they are no longer with us, we find comfort in knowing they have welcomed him home.

Above all else, Eric cherished his family. He leaves behind his five beloved children: Eric Pabon, Derrick Pabon, Destiny Martinez (formerly Pabon) and her husband, Anthony Martinez, D'Onthany Pabon Quiñones, and Jaizalinn Boyer. His love continues through his six grandsons Alexavier, Anthony Jr., Amani, D'Onthany Jr. Elias and Adonias along with his and two granddaughters My'Leah and Ny'vela who brought immense joy to his life.

He is also lovingly remembered by his devoted sister, Christina Rodriguez, her husband, Hector Rodriguez, his nephews Isaiah and Justin, and his niece Angelyse, along with countless extended family members and friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing him.

Eric was a proud New Yorker through and through. He was a devoted fan of the New York Giants and the New York Knicks, and he especially loved spending time at the ballpark cheering on the New York Mets. His passion for New York sports was something everyone who knew him recognized.

What truly made Eric special, however, was not the teams he rooted for but the people he loved. He had an incredible gift for making everyone feel like family. Whether you had known him for years or had just met him, Eric welcomed you with open arms and an open heart. His kindness, generosity, and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Eric's sense of humor was one of a kind. He rarely took life too seriously and had an unmatched ability to make people laugh. His infectious smile, quick wit, and playful personality could brighten any room and lift even the heaviest hearts. He had a way of bringing people together, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Although our hearts are broken by his passing, we are forever grateful for the love, laughter, and unforgettable moments he gave us. His legacy will live on in the lives of his children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all those who were blessed to call him family—even if only by the way he treated them.

In the end, Eric's greatest legacy was not found in the years he lived, but in the love he gave so freely to everyone around him. May we honor his memory by loving others the way he did.

"Let all that you do be done in love."
