Emily L.
Singleton
Nov 11, 1948 — Jul 31, 2026
Emily Lee Singleton, daughter of the late Mary Davis and Blonza Davis Sr. was born in Clarksville, Virginia on November 11, 1948. She attended high school in Corona, New York.
She enjoyed the finer things in life. Emily never asked for anything, she was a go getter. She enjoyed dancing, singing, and cooking. She went on to land a job as a home health aide, something she enjoyed doing. Emily loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. You could always count on her to prepare a home cooked meal.. Especially chicken livers in gravy.
Emily moved to Pennsylvania a few years later and met the man of her dreams, David Singleton. He proposed and married Emily on August 17, 2013. We knew for sure that there would be no more chicken livers for us. When Emily fell ill, her husband David would always be by her side each and every day.
Our family would like to thank our brother in-law David for the love and compassion he has shown our beloved sister. David, you will always be our family. We love you!
Preceding her in death: Mother, Mary Davis, Father, Blonza Davis Sr., baby brother, Clinton Davis Sr.
Emily leaves behind to mourn: her loving husband David Singleton. Her brother, Blonza Davis Jr, sister, Carolyn Davis Winston, sister, Yvonne Davis Rogers, and baby sister Sandra Davis.
Nephews: Robert III, Gregory Jr, Clinton Jr, Maurice, Corey, Shawn, Martell, Justin, Perry Jr, Donald Jr, and Julian. Nieces: April, Priscilla, Amy, Nicole and Elise. Sister in-law, Daphne Davis and Brother in-law, Robert Winston Jr. Aunt, Thelma, and Uncles Rudy and Randy. With a host of great nieces, cousins and friends.
Gone But Never Ever Forgotten.
