Edward T. Hartman, 86, of Lebanon passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Carol R. Ogilvie.
Born in Lebanon, PA on July 30, 1936, he was a son of the late Guy and Helen (Onofrey) Hartman.
He was the retired co-owner and President of PA Telephone Products. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Cornwall, Colonial Country Club, Holy Name of Jesus Church in Harrisburg and Past President of the Holy Name P.T.O., the Rotary Club of Harrisburg - Paul Harris Fellow, Finance Chairman of Dauphin County Republican Party, V.P. of Phillips Office Products, Judge of Elections in Dauphin County, A & P Food store manager, the Camp Hill Jaycees, board member of Visiting Nurse Association of Central PA, Bethesda Mission of Harrisburg, and Hospice of Central PA, and President and Secretary of Eastern Regional Office Machine Dealers of USA.
He was a US Army veteran having served one year in Korea in 1956.
Surviving in addition to his wife Carol are 3 children, Andrea, wife of Jeffrey Dietz; Diane, wife of Andrew Graff and Edward, husband of Christine Hartman; 3 grandchildren, Derek, Bret married to Kelley, and Ethan; 2 great grandchildren, Madeline and Sophia; 3 sisters, Joanne Walmer, Eleanor Ebright and Mary Carolyn Hartman; 2 brothers, John Hartman and Robert Hartman; 2 stepchildren, Sean Stevenson and Michelle Smith.
He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Ethel Remlinger, Annabele Cikovic and Helen Hartman, a brother, Guy Hartman and grandson, Jason Dietz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 28, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 2596 Cornwall Road, Cornwall. Interment with full military honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to mass from 10-11 at the church. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. Lebanon is entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church building fund, P.O. Box 136, Cornwall, PA 17016.
