Earl R. Miller, 83, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at home. He was the husband of Margaret A. (Nemec) Miller.
Born in Cornwall, PA on December 30, 1938, Earl was a son of the late Earl and Helen (Clay) Miller. He was a 1956 graduate of Newmantown High School and a United States Army veteran. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Lebanon. Earl worked as a machine operator for FL Smidth Company for 37 years. He enjoyed civil war memorabilia, watching old cowboy movies, playing Texas hold'em, and mowing his yard. He loved antique cars and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Earl is survived by three children, Christopher E. Miller, Marie A. Hogeland, wife of William, and Anthony R. Miller; eight grandchildren, James, Sharrah, Taryn, Sierra, Courtney, Jazmyn, Nazareth, and Jessica; five great grandchildren, Ellison, Elijah, Abel, Lorretta, and Julia; and a sister, Carol Moore, wife of Victor.
He was preceded in death by a son, David A. Miller; three sisters, Jeanette Ney, Mary Wentzel, and Nancy Sheidy; and a brother, Franklin Miller.
The family invites you to share a time of remembrance on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 1-3 pm at 5 Hogeland Road, Newmanstown, PA 17073. In lieu of flowers, donations in Earl's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, 3401 Civic Center Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
