Douglas L. Zeeger, 81, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Linda L. (Haag) Zeeger. They would have celebrated 62 years of married on December 8th.

Born in Reading on February 15, 1942, Douglas was a son of  the late Gladys Zeeger and Angelo Nardo.

After 21 years of service and two Vietnam tours, Douglas retired from the United States Army. He was employed by the Naval Depot in Mechanicsburg for eight years and later as a custodian for the Lebanon School District.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children - Melody Daquilante and her husband, Albert, Douglas L. Zeeger, Jr. and his wife, Karen, Larry J. Zeeger, Douglas G. Zeeger and his wife, Khristy, April Lanning and her husband, James, Shelean Cabinaw and her husband, Patrick; fifteen grandchildren - Zac, Brandy, Derek, Devin, Amanda, Savannah, Aaron, Alex, Sydney, Heather, Patrick, Chrissy, Johnathan, Jamie, and Michael; nine great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Marrero.

Funeral services with full military honors will take place privately at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Douglas' name may be made to The Lebanon VA Hospice, 1700 South Lincoln Avenue, Lebanon, PA 17042. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. has been entrusted with arrangements.
