Dorothy R. Sparks "Dottie", 95, of Lebanon, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2023. She was the wife of Robert H. Sparks.

Born in Hazleton, PA on February 26, 1928, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Dr. Joseph and Elizabeth (Hudock) DellaCroce.

Growing up and throughout her life she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family & friends. She loved telling stories, many of which were fond memories of Summers spent at Saylors Lake in the Poconos.

She worked for over 50 years as a Registered Nurse both as a Private Duty RN and also at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

Dorothy was a member of St. Mary's Church which she regularly attended as faith was a very important part of her life.

She was one of a kind. She fit the definition of compassion and selflessness — always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and checking in on those in her life frequently.

Her laughter and humor were contagious. Despite any and all circumstances, her attitude always remained positive and optimistic.

She was an excellent nurse, a wonderful friend, and the true matriarch of our family. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband Robert, Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Debra Pagano; her granddaughter, Gabrielle Pagano; her sister, Elizabeth Leaser (DellaCroce), along with her sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy Basti (Resuta); and two brothers, Dr. Joseph DellaCroce and Dr. John DellaCroce.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at St. Mary's Church, 2 N 8th St, Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park. A viewing will be held prior to Mass from 10-11 AM at the church. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
