Obituary

Dorothy Mae (Fox) Brandt, 92, of Annville, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022 at home. She was the wife of Jacob J. Brandt, to whom she was married for 72 years.

Born in Annville, PA on November 16, 1929, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Homer and Edith (Waltermyer) Fox. She was a 1947 graduate of Annville-Cleona High School and attended business school for an additional 2 years. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Annville, where she was a nursery school teacher and hosted the church Easter egg hunt on their farm for many years. She worked on their farm with her husband and also had multiple side businesses, one of which was "Brandt's Ice". She enjoyed the ice business for 45 years. She loved reading, hosting many family holiday meals, and enjoyed researching her family tree genealogy.

In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by three children, Ronald Lee Brandt, husband of Brenda, Susan L. Craig, companion of Mike Tribioli, and Michael L. Brandt, husband of Tammy; her daughter-in-law, Barbara Brandt; sixteen grandchildren, Nita Dunn, wife of Paul, Rusty Brandt, Timothy Brandt, husband of Christina, John Brandt, husband of Michelle, Bonita Mousley, wife of Shawn, James Brandt, husband of Alicia, Matthew Brandt, Gloria McGee, Brian Craig, husband of Shannon, Eric Shope, husband of Sarah, Nicolas Brandt, husband of Angela, Danny Brandt, husband of Faith, Maria Brandt, Sarah Shields, wife of Ryan, Jason Brandt, husband of Maggie, and Jarod Brandt; thirty great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Roger Brandt; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Brandt, a brother Leroy Fox, a sister-in-law, Erma Perri; and a brother-in-law, Alvin Brandt.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6th at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 South 9th Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10-11 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's name may be made to the Dementia Society of America, P.O.
