Diane F.
Redensky
Jun 15, 1953 — Sep 8, 2025
Diane F. (Dalykas) Redensky
Forest City, NC - formerly of Scranton & East Benton Township, PA
Diane F. Redensky, age 72, of Forest City, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, with her loving husband Dave, daughter Erica and son-in-law John by her side.
Born in Scranton, PA, Diane was the daughter of the late Dolores (Noto) and Fritz Dalykas. She was a proud 1972 graduate of Scranton Technical High School and spent much of her career in the workforce, retiring from the former Northeastern Envelope Company in 2021. Earlier in life, she was the assistant manager at Woolworth's Luncheonette in Keyser Oak.
Diane had a heart full of love for her family and friends. Whether it was enjoying countless fishing trips to Canada, Black Lake, Lake Oneida, and the Susquehanna River, hunting on Dutch Mountain, with her family or celebrating with her loved ones at Handsome Lake, Diane treasured every moment spent with those closest to her. Her sharp wit, generous spirit, and sassy sense of humor made her a memorable and beloved presence. She was a devoted wife, and mother, and she poured her heart into caring for those she loved.
After relocating to North Carolina, Diane continued to embrace life with zest, spending time spoiling her grand dogs and cats, playing her favorite computer games, and shopping with her daughter, Erica.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dolores and Fritz Dalykas; her brother, Donnie Dalykas; her sister, Cheryl Richmond; her brother-in-law, Ed Richmond; her sister, Helen Ward; her brother-in-law, Michael Ward; and her niece, Melanie Ward.
Diane leaves behind her loving husband of nearly 53 years, Dave Redensky, of Forest City; her daughter, Erica Williams, wife of John also of Forest City; her daughter Dawn Zatorski, wife of John, Lebanon PA; her brother Casper Dalykas and wife Stephanie, Scranton PA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will forever remember her warmth, humor, and the love she so freely gave.
The family would like to extend many thanks to the staff of Carolinas Medical Center Charlotte for the excellent care that they provided to Diane and her family during their short stay.
A viewing from 10 to 11 am on Saturday, September 20, 2025, followed by a celebration of Diane's life at the Chapel at Fairview Memorial Park, 111 State Route 435 Elmhurst PA 18444. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Diane's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Children's Miracle Network at either Geisinger Hospital, Danville PA, or the Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center, Hershey PA. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements. The family welcomes your memories and messages in our online guest book at thompsonfuneralhomelebanon.com
