Obituary

Diane (Vernon) Boyer, 70, of Quentin, passed away Sunday, February 6th, 2022 at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of Kevin M. Boyer, to whom she was married for 40 years. Born in Lebanon, PA on January 13, 1952. Diane was a daughter of the late Albert J. Vernon and Joanne (Nash Vernon) Croce.

Diane was a 1969 Lebanon High School graduate. At the age of 14 she started working at Croce's Cafe, the family restaurant, which sparked her passion for food service. Diane was employed for 10 years at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center as a Pantry Worker next to her sister Vicki. Diane also worked at Cornwall Elementary School as the Cafeteria Manager for 26 years until her retirement in 2017.

Diane loved music and excelled in music trivia. She also loved playing Words With Friends, daily calls with her sisters, cooking, hanging out with her dog Pugsley and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Diane is survived by four children, Marianne Cotner, Jason Schlegel, husband of Dori, Jillian Boyer and Nicole Boyer; ten grandchildren, Jake and Kate Sywenki, Pamela Mertz, Emily Schlegel, Kayla Strobel, Connor Schlegel, Kamryn and Kaiden Killian, Myles and Austin Brunner. Siblings, Carol (Vernon) Ill, Anthony Croce, Victoria Croce, Susan (Croce) Quanbeck and several nieces and nephews.

With love her spirit remains in all things she has touched, especially in our hearts.

Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:30 AM, followed by a service at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 12th at St. Mary's Church, 2 North 8th Street, Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Luncheon to follow service at: QT Catering, 114 N. Zinns Mill Rd., Lebanon, PA. 17042, Located on the Fair View Golf Course grounds, just one mile west of Zinns Mill Rd. from intersection of RT.# 72 and Zinns Mill Rd.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Diane may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
