Dereck Persaud, 77, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025 at home. He was the husband of Enid C. (Simon) Persaud.

Born in Guyana on November 13, 1947, Dereck was a son of the late Mahadai Pania. He enjoyed riding bikes and bird watching. Dereck was a very outgoing person, he always enjoyed the outside and loved all varieties of birds and his large breed of dogs.

In addition to his wife, Dereck is survived by two sons, Ronald and Raymond Persaud; daughter-in-law, Madelyn Persaud; six grandsons, Michael Salcedo, Raymond "Joshua" Persaud, Christopher Persaud, Joseph Persaud, Eliezer Persaud, and Trestan Persaud; three great grandchildren, Michael "Landon" Salcedo, Kenai Persaud, and Amiyah Persaud; three brothers, Herallal, Patrick, and Fredrick Persaud; and two sisters, Hamo and Sattie Persaud.
