Dawn M. Blauch, 66, of Lebanon, passed away at home on Friday, August 4, 2023 in the loving arms of her husband of nearly 50 years, John D. Blauch, Jr. and her children, Elizabeth and John.

Born in Lebanon on November 26, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Donald Donley and Geraldine (Sweigart) Jones.

Embracing the lessons of selflessness and kindness taught by her own mother, Dawn became that same nurturing force for her family. Her unconditional love and support were the pillars that held her family together.

Before becoming ill, Dawn enjoyed gardening, cooking, and shopping. She also found joy in simple pleasures and quiet moments with her family, especially the days spent together at Mt. Gretna Lake. Music also made Dawn happy and the iconic tunes of her favorite band, Journey, quickly became the soundtrack to family gatherings and celebrations. For her family, that same music will represent the cherished memories she and her husband, John created with their family over the last 50 years.

In addition to her husband, Dawn is survived by her two children - Elizabeth Whitman and her husband, Keith, Sr. and John "David" Blauch,III and his companion, Kristin Janney; three siblings - Linda Whitman, Larry Jones and his companion Robin, and Scott Jones and his wife Patty; four grandchildren - Dylan, Keith, Jr., Kamryn, and Hannah; two great grandchildren - Adalynn and Roman; her former daughter in law, Tara Blauch; her faithful four legged companion "Jax", and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kent Jones; her stepfather, Ardell Jones; her aunt, Kay Kern; and her four beloved dogs - "Princess", "Josh", "JJ", and "Joey".

A visitation will be held from 11-12PM on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 South 9th Street, Lebanon. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dawn's name may be made to The Lebanon Humane Society ( lebanonhumane.org ), 150 N. Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
