David L. Wetzel of Lebanon, passed away on Monday May 29, 2023. He was born in Lebanon on Saturday September 25, 1954.  He was the loving husband of 46 years to his wife Linda L. (Stricker) Wetzel. He was the son of the late Ernest J. and Elsie J. Wetzel. He was preceded in death by his siblings Dennis Ream (husband of the late Cathy Ream), Debra Herman (wife of David Herman), and Eric Wetzel (husband of Karen Wetzel). Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughter Rebecca Wetzel, his son Philip Wetzel, husband of Melissa (Unger) Wetzel, and step daughter Tracey Moll. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

He graduated from Northern Lebanon High School. He was a loyal employee at Baldwin Hardware of Reading, PA for 31 years working in various departments including quality control and lock making until his retirement in 2013. Thereafter he enjoyed working part time at Henry Moulded Products, Inc. for 4 years.

David enjoyed strumming his guitar, fishing, working on and riding his motorcycles, and maintaining his yard. He also enjoyed family dinners.

David Wetzel was a man of faith. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses he had hope for the future. He derived much comfort in the promise that one day there will be no sickness, pain or death.  Rev 21:3,4.  He enjoyed sharing his hope with others.

There will be a funeral discourse June 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 1870 Colebrook Rd, Lebanon, PA 17042.
