Daniel Warren Silknetter, age 66, son of John (Jack) and Lorraine (Theis) Silknetter, a native of Lancaster County and most recently of Lebanon PA, died in the early hours of Nov. 2, 2025.

Dan graduated from Hempfield HS in 1977 and from Penn State DuBois in 1979. He worked a variety of jobs throughout his life including logging, construction, and consulting work with various ecological firms. He was a craftsman. As a field biologist, his passion was working with reptiles and amphibians. He loved music, nature, dogs, family, and campfires with friends.

Dan is survived by wife Michaella, sons Jasper (Allison Williams), Samuel (Allison Stamey) and their children, daughter Lily, sister Jenny (Al Garrison) and nieces and nephews to whom he was affectionately "Uncle Dan." He was preceded in death by his parents and many beloved pets.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
