D. Jane Birli, 81, of Lebanon passed away peacefully in her home, Friday, April 29, 2022.
Born in Harrisburg, Pa. on January 11, 1941, to the late Joseph and Hermina (Rimpfel) Sariano. She was the cherished wife of John S. Birli for 61 years.
Janie, as she was affectionately known, was a secretary for several years at Lebanon Catholic High School. She was then employed at The Hershey Pasta Co./New World Pasta as an executive assistant. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Church and strong in her Catholic Faith. She was the secretary for the Lebanon 912 Project.
Janie thoroughly enjoyed shopping and talking. She loved sharing stories and was always there with words of encouragement and comforting support. Janie's true passion was spending time with Family & Sharing Smiles. She was the matriarch of her family. Vacationing at St. Thomas, Virgin Islands with her husband John and sister Judy for 30 + years was a treasured tradition. This world has never known a more Loving, Joyous Soul.
Surviving in addition to her husband are Children – Stephen (Dana) Birli, Thomas (Tina) Birli, and Karen (Josh) Allen; Brother David (Dawn) Sariano, Sister Judith Birli; Grandchildren - James Birli, Adam Birli, Allison (Josh) Jones, Louis Arnt, Madison Birli, Peyton Birli; Great Grand Children - Haven & Denni Birli, Cameron Jones. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her brother Joseph Sariano Jr. The light of her Loving, Joyful Spirit lives on in all of us.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday May 4, 2022, at 11:00AM at St. Cecilia's Church 120 E. Lehman St. Lebanon, 17046. A visitation will be held prior to Mass from 10-11. Interment will be on Resurrection Cemetery, Harrisburg. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
