Christopher M.
Fancovic
Dec 25, 1959 — Mar 7, 2023
Christopher M. Fancovic, 63, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Hershey Medical Center. Born on Christmas Day in 1959, he was the son of the late Stephen P. and Margaret (Brightbill) Fancovic.
Chris was a 1978 graduate of Lebanon High School and a member of Life Center in Harrisburg. He was fun loving, selfless and kind. Always quick to help a stranger and eager to share his faith, Chris was an absolute treasure to his family and an immeasurable list of friends. He volunteered countless hours and played an active role in fundraising for Hilltop Playground, where he once played as a child. Chris not only knew his way around the kitchen, but also enjoyed working on his cars, doing most of the mechanical work himself. Some of his very best friends - Blackie, Gidget, Lacey, and Casey - had four legs and showered him with unconditional love. Chris enjoyed life to the fullest and found joy in every moment. He was a bright, beautiful soul who was quick to forgive. His absence will leave an unfillable void.
Chris is survived by his sister, Margaret Rausch and her husband, Bob; three brothers – Charles Hilton and his wife Mary, John Hilton and his wife, Shirley, and Stephen Fancovic, Jr. and his wife, Donna; his sister in law, Betty Brightbill; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Lee Brightbill and his faithful four legged friends mentioned above.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 15 th from 10-11am Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 South 9th Street in Lebanon with a celebration of Chris's life beginning at 11:00am. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris's name may be made to The Humane Society of Lebanon County Thrift Shop ( lebanonhumane.org ), 129 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, PA 17042.
