Charles R. Plantz, 85, of Cornwall, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023 at home. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Ill) Plantz.

Born in Lebanon, PA on May 17, 1938, Charlie was a son of the late Russell and Miriam (Leitz) Plantz. He was a 1956 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and a graduate of Lebanon Valley College and Millersville University. He was employed as a teacher and work experience coordinator for the Lebanon City & County Schools.  He retired after 35 years of service from the Lebanon Vo-Tech School and the Lancaster-Lebanon IU-13. Charlie was a member and volunteer for many community organizations. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was an avid Notre Dame, Phillies and Eagles fan and liked watching horses.

In addition to his wife, Charlie is survived by three children: Kathleen wife of R. Mike Long, Charles Plantz, and Steven Plantz; three grandchildren: Rachel, Elizabeth, and Rich; three great grandchildren: Charlotte, Sophia, William and a sister, Barbara Stoner. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Ann Plantz.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 30th at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 2596 Cornwall Road, Cornwall. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to Mass from 10-11 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlie's name may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus, P.O.
