Beverly J.
Culbert
May 11, 1941 — Dec 27, 2025
Beverly J. Culbert, 84, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at home. She was the wife of the late Peter A. Culbert.
Beverly was born in the Reading, PA to the late Harold and Emeline (Miller) Dry, who are buried in Rockwall, Texas where they lived for 15 years before they passed away. Emeline was born in Robesonia and Harold in Reading. Harold was a police officer, he worked at a gas station and delivered ice for refrigeration until he joined the United States Army, flat feet and all they took him. While in the Army the family stayed mostly in Virginia and Georgia, then eventually moved back to Lebanon, PA. Beverly went to Ebenezer and then South Lebanon School from 1953-1963. As a young adult she lived in Rockwall, TX and worked at Rainbows End Day Care as a teacher and later in life at Texas Instruments as an electrician, helper, and painter. Beverly was known as B.J. at Texas Instruments, she loved being part of the volley ball team, and studying to be an electrician. She stayed working there for many years until she finally decided the job wasn't worth it when she lost two of her friends when a transformer blew up on them. She worked in Lebanon at EWCI Packer warehouse and the snack bar at the Good Samaritan Hospital until she retired in 1996 due to heath issues. She joined the Rescue Ladies Aux. from February 2003 until closing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Heath, TX.
Beverly's husband, children and grandchildren were her whole life, she would always say how much she loved them and would be watching over them and always be with them until they are together again someday.
Beverly is survived by five children: Peter K. Culbert, Glenn Crockett, Sheri Black, Kristin Winters, and Tracey Zehring and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by a sister, Duranne R. Drumheller of Middleburg, PA and a brother, Harold W. Dry of Lubbock, Texas.
