Betty F. Walmer, 95, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Linden Village. She was the wife of the late Bernard E. "Wally" Walmer, to whom she was married for 49 years until his passing in 2015.

Born in Bardane, West Virginia on August 2, 1927, Betty was a daughter of the late Paul and Lillian (Kite) Blackford. She became a licensed LPN in 1964 and worked for the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon for 20 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading and doing yard work.

Betty is survived by a daughter, Nancy E. Mitchell; a grandson, Christopher D. Mitchell; several nieces and nephew and her beloved dog "Ace". She was preceded in death by two step-sons, David Walmer and Pete "Dale" Walmer; and two sisters, Gladys Albert and Emma Ruth Huntsinger.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Funeral procession will depart from Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S 9th St, Lebanon, PA 17042, those attending please gather at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's name may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
