Beatrice Charlotte Harter Penn, 100, of Stoneridge Towne Centre, Myerstown, passed away on January 21, 2022. She was born in Lebanon, PA on September 1, 1921, the daughter of the late Charles V. and Anna Werth Harter. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband John W. Penn, Jr., her brother, Paul W. Harter and two sisters, Margaret Harter Eggert, and Christine Harter Bixler.

Beatrice attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from Lebanon Catholic High School in 1939. She and John were married in 1942 for 59 years, before John passed. They are the parents of three sons, William T. (and wife Virginia) of Bedford, VA; Joseph F. (and wife Linda) of Chambersburg, PA; and John C. (and friend Ella) of Palmyra, PA. They have 2 grandchildren, Kevin T. Penn and Wendy L. Learn, as well as 4 great grandchildren.

Beatrice was a life-long resident of Lebanon County. She and John were members of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She worked in the cafeteria at St. Mary's Grade School and at Lebanon Catholic High School. Caring for her family along with knitting, crocheting, dancing, and reading occupied most of her time. In her retirement years she was a very active volunteer at the Lebanon Senior Center and Cedar Haven County Home.

A mass of celebration of Beatrice's life will be said at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lebanon on January 24, 2022, at 11 A.M. Immediate family will receive friends and family 1 hour prior to mass in the church vestibule. Interment will take place following the mass at Holy Cross Cemetery in Lebanon where Beatrice will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, John.
