Avigayil Christina Carpenter's Obituary
Avigayil Christina Carpenter, 11, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 5, 2018 at home.
Born in Zamboanga City, Phillipines on February 27, 2007, Avigayil was a daughter of Brian and Stephanie (Shaak) Carpenter.
From the Hebrew name Abigail, Avigayil means "joy of the Father". Avi and the family who so lovingly adopted her and eight other orphans into Ting Ministries, never saw her obvious physical and mental challenges. Instead, they made it possible for her to live in a community where she could thrive, where she wasn't defined by her deficits, but cared for and nurtured in a home filled with love and happiness. Avi was the essence of what real love is. A true Mama's girl who taught everyone to appreciate the little things and to always, always live in the moment. Family trips to the beach brought out the best in Avi. She radiated happiness, soaking in every moment from the sound of the waves crashing and the smell of the ocean to the warm sun on her face. She was, without a doubt, the princess of the family and everyone would agree that if Avi was happy, everyone was happy. Her life was an inspiration to others and although Avi's time here on earth was all too brief, her legacy of love will continue in the beautiful family she leaves behind.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by eight siblings, Natalya ("Sasha"), Hannah, Olyvia, Ellianna, Angelina, Rachele, Hope, and Brittan.
A viewing will take place on Friday, November 9th from 12:00 to 2:00pm at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 South 9th Street, Lebanon, PA 17042.
