Obituary

Ann Marie Foster, nee Cox, 79, passed away peacefully at the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital on May 24, 2026. Born in Lebanon, PA, Ann was the daughter of Helen (Martalus) and Robert Cox. She was the devoted wife of James P. Foster with whom she shared 57 wonderful years of marriage and beloved mother to their three children. Ann and Jim resided at Cornwall Manor.

She is survived by her husband, James, and her three children Kelly Pierson (Mark), Kevin Foster (Julie), and John (Jack) Foster II (Jennifer), four grandchildren, Holden, Avery, Claire and Seth. She is also survived by a sister, Roberta Kraft.

Ann Marie was a 1964 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School. Prior to her marriage she was employed by the Good Samaritan Hospital and Hershey Chocolate Company.

Ann was a member of St. Cyril and Methodious Parish until she was married. After the wedding she and her husband became active members of St. Mary's Parish. During her time at St. Mary's, Ann was a lector and Eucharistic minister and Adult Altar Server for funerals. She also started the church book ministry and served on the Parish Advisory Board. Ann spent many hours taking the Eucharist to the sick at the hospitals in Lebanon,
and at local nursing homes. Ann also volunteered to work with St. Mary's women preparing free meals for LCCM.

Ann enjoyed working with the PTA group while her children were students at Southwest Elementary School in Lebanon. She was employed as a teacher's aide in the Cornwall Elementary School in the 1990's.

Ann enjoyed meeting with a group of women from the parish to pray the rosary in peoples' homes each month. It was an important activity to her. She very much loved spending time with her children and especially being with the grandchildren and discussing their accomplishments.
