It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Amanda E. (Rumpf-Dooley) Thome, 36, of Annville, Friday, July 19, 2024. She was the wife of Kyle R.S. Thome, Loving mother of Robert G. Thome. She took pride in trying to uplift others throughout her life. She took charge and started connecting with people through a home business "Scentsy." This is where her major start of reaching and connecting with people began. She used her love of cooking and music to also bring people together.

Born in Lebanon, PA on September 2, 1987, Amanda was the daughter of James and Cynthia (Dooley) Rumpf. She has lived in Pennsylvania almost her whole life, but for a few years was able to live and see places many of us wish we could. She tackled the shores of Hawaii, delighted on the sweet soft-shelled crab of Maryland and basked in the beautiful landscape of Washington prior to moving back to Pennsylvania.

In addition to her husband, son, and parents, Amanda is survived by her many cousins, nieces, nephews and beloved friends. Amanda took pride in trying to help others learn from her own experiences. Amanda took to social media to spread word, support and awareness about the current state of our mental health care system and created a network for people to try and connect with one another for support. Additionally, her love did not stop there. Amanda had a love and compassion for animals that was beyond compare. As many of her friends can attest to, she was a force of nature to contend with once she had set her mind to something. Her passion for her son, animals, and helping those in mental health care was unmatched.

A visitation will be held from 12-1 PM, followed by a service at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 126 S 9th St, Lebanon, PA 17042. In lieu of flowers, donations in Amanda's name may be made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 N Ramona Rd, Myerstown, PA 17067.
