Life Legacy
Lois S. Biever
Lois S. Biever, 84, of Hearthstone Manor and formerly of Pleasant Hill, Lebanon, passed away Friday July 16, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster Co., Mount Joy. She was the wife of the late Victor P. Biever who died in 2001.
Born in Lebanon on March 6, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy Readinger Clouser.
She was a homemaker and also had worked for Weis Markets. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and was active in the Lebanon County Church Women United. She was an active volunteer for the Lebanon Rescue Mission. She enjoyed cooking, baking and was very devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are three children: Dr. John A. husband of Linda Biever of Annville, Diane E. wife of Dr. Jerry Gottlieb of Lancaster and James A. husband of Michelle Biever of Lebanon. Six grandchildren: John, Adam, Matthew, Emily, Suzanne and Noel. Four great grandchildren, one brother: James Readinger of Arizona, three sisters: Eva Readinger of Lebanon, Alberta Readinger of Lebanon and Linda Clawser of Lebanon. Several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister: Elaine Readinger.
Funeral services will be held Monday evening at 6:00 from St. John's United Methodist Church 1709 Center St. Lebanon, 17042. Visitation will be held Monday 4-6 prior to the service. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, 4075 Old Harrisburg Pike, Mt.
