How do I tell what makes funeral homes different from one another?
If you are not familiar with a funeral home, you can gather information from friends and family, or we suggest you visit us. After every funeral at Thompson's, we ask our families to evaluate us so we know the level of service we recently provided to them. We keep these evaluations on file for anyone to view. Families that have used other funeral homes, and now rely on Thompson's always comment about our professional staff and our sincere dedication to exceed expectations. We encourage families to spend time with our staff to discuss what we offer, the costs involved, and to tour our facilities. I have a funeral pre-arrangement with another funeral home. Can I transfer it to Thompson Funeral Home?
You can always transfer a funeral pre-arrangement from one funeral home to another. If you pre-paid however, it is the policy of some funeral homes and cremation societies to keep either all or part of the money or the interest your money earned, or both. It all depends on the laws from the state the funeral home is in and the willingness of the funeral home to refund all, some, or part of your money. We have helped many families through the transfer process.


I live out of state, but wish to have my remains returned to Lebanon for funeral services and burial. How does this work?
A call to us is all it takes. Usually families living away from Lebanon or Pennsylvania will pre-arrange their funeral wishes so we know all the details and have all the information. There is no need to worry about contacting anyone except us at the time of death. We handle contacting everyone that needs to be involved.
